Hi, I´m Em!
For the past years I have been traveling and exploring the world one adventure at a time, at my own pace and in my own way. I learned so much about the world and myself, and became beyond passionate about living your life as fulfilled as you can dream it.
It’s been an incredible few years, but during this time, there were two things I missed and craved incredibly. Being part of a community that shares my values, and having a creative space to pour all my experiences, creativity and passion into.
That’s how Setting Sail came to life! My little bubble where I hope to inspire you through my stories around the globe, give you an encouraging starting point to bring your dreams to life, and build a community to share all the wholesome experiences and lessons with that this big world offers. Let’s create a space for connection, adventures and reflection together!

“Exactly two years ago, I sailed for the very first time. Sailing had never been on my radar. Growing up in the mountains of Germany, I didn’t know anyone who sailed. A few years prior, the magic of the ocean had started drawing me in, with all its hidden surprises, and wild, breathtaking creatures. So, when I got the opportunity to go sailing, I didn’t hesitate. It felt like this was the door, the door I had subconsciously been waiting for, that I had been wanting to open so badly for a while now. For me, this experience meant I would learn to understand the ocean, when up to that point all I could ever do was wonder. Wonder what else there was to it. Wonder how it would feel to be a part of it, to be one with it.”
